Tack Reports
Tacks have been spread on local roads over the years and more recently on Corbett Canyon Road. To assist the SLOBC in working with the California Highway Patrol, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department and city and county officials to address tack spreading incidents, the club has an online Tack Reporting Form. Please click on the link and fill out the form to help us gather the information needed to address tack problems.
Using the Road Hazard Forum is a good way to communicate unsafe conditions to our members. However, it is even better to communicate them to the appropriate entity in each community so they can be addressed for all cyclists. A list of local entities that everyone can use to report safety problems can be found at https://slobc.org/advocacy on our public website. At the bottom of the webpage under "Safety Problem & Bicycling Hazard Contacts" you will find phone numbers and web links for reporting local unsafe road conditions.
