Back by popular demand! 2019 Autumn Pie Ride on Nov. 3rd
The third annual SLOBC Barney Schwartz ride and lunch,
with pie, will be held on Sunday, November 3rd at... you guessed it, Barney Schwartz Park in Paso Robles.
There are 32- and 40-mile routes. Both routes go out the Estrella Rd underpass – a beautiful and almost flat stretch of horse ranch land, then up Ranchita Canyon to descend Hog Canyon (which has been repaved!). The 40-mile route will go over to River Rd and return eastward up Union Road, while the shorter route comes back on Airport Road.
The club will provide lunch at the lakeside pavilion including pumpkin and apple pie! This is a members-only event.
Online registration is required! Once you are logged in to the member web site(
slobc.club) and navigate to the event page, use the RSVP Now button to sign up. The event page can be found under the November listings in the Event Calendar tab.
Also, we are looking for a few volunteers to help with set up, marking and sweep. All volunteers will be able to do the ride. Contact Elaine McElmury at tipsycyclist@gmail.com if you can help.
Route Information:
2019 Barney 32 Mile - 1,495 elevation gain – Note: You can shorten this to 25 miles if you eliminate the Ranchita Canyon/Hog Canyon loop.
2019 Barney 40 Mile - 1,782 elevation gain.
Barney Schwartz Park is at 2970 Union Rd, Paso Robles, CA, 93446
Suggested start times:
